A selection of nice feedback given to me in my voluntary Community First Responder role. Positive feedback like this helps makes the hard work worthwhile by reminding me how far the ripples of small contributions can extend.

“Below are some glowing comments from a paramedic that was very appreciative and impressed by the support you gave him at a cardiac arrest. He appears to be very impressed with the manor of the support and the calm way you went about supporting him.
“Thank you for all your support and I will make sure that this is kept on your file.”

“Would you be able to pass on an official thank-you to the Hinckley CFR ‘Alex’ who was first on scene to a cardiac arrest in Burbage yesterday. He was a credit to the CFR team – establishing control of the situation prior to my arrival and providing very high quality assistance (over and above what I would normally expect from a community first responder) throughout the resuscitation attempt. He was instrumental in achieving a ROSC twice and I know for a fact that the family were extremely grateful of the effort that he put in.”

“I have been sent the below email, and the attachment showing a card received from a patient you attended. Thank you for your work on this job, it goes to show just how valuable and how appreciated CFRs really are – I will ensure a good conduct feedback report is added to your profile.”

“We backed up a CFR on a job at Hinckley which was an MI who then arrested. The chap we backed up was Alex Twist and we got a thank you from the patient!
I just wanted to get this to him as he was an integral part of saving this pts life.

“EMAS and ED teams could not have done more. They were a fantastic group of people, who tried everything to bring my husband back to me. Amazing support and kindness were offered to me at every step of the way.”

“I called 999 on behalf of my brother when he said he was experiencing chest pain. If it was not for the actions of this crew I would be without my brother now and we as a family would like to write and thank them. We did see them at hospital when we arrived but we were obviously all over the place and my mum and sister were still on their way. It was a male and female crew but I have forgotten their names. There was also a first responder who was possibly Alex.”
